Interlibrary Loan Article Request Form
Interlibrary Loan Book Request Form
Purpose of Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary loan is a service provided to obtan materials which are NOT available in the Norma Wood Library. Materials, such as books and photocopies of journal articles, may be obtained from other libraries.
Who May Use Interlibrary Loan
This service is available to ASU-Mountain Home students, ASU-Jonesboro students taking classes on the ASUMH campus, faculty, and staff. The Norma Wood Library will not process ILL requests for students who enroll and attend classes at ASU-Jonesboro if materials are available at Dean B. Ellis Library at ASU-Jonesboro and if students are on campus during the library's open hours.
How Interlibrary Loan Works
All requests must be submitted using the paper forms located in the library or by using the forms located on this Web site (see form links at top of page). For faster service, please fill out the form as completely and accurately as possible. Accurate personal information must be provided as well.
A maximum of two requests may be submitted per day. Requests are limited to books and journal articles. The library cannot fill requests for ERIC documents, but it can provide patrons with abstracts of and some full-text ERIC documents via the Internet.
Cost
- There is no charge for journal articles.
- The first five book requests per semester are free. Additional book requests cost $1.50 each.
- Borrowers are responsible for interlibrary loan materials until they are returned to the library. If materials are lost or damaged, the borrower is responsible for any costs incurred.
- The late charge for overdue books is $1.00 per day.
Notification
Patrons are notified by telephone and/or email when the material arrives.
Loan Period
The loan period for books is determined by the lending library and is usually two to three weeks. A renewal should be requested only when absolutely necessary. To obtain a renewal, a request must be made three days in advance of the due date.
Returning Materials
Materials should be returned to the circulation desk in the library.
The Norma Wood Library adheres to the terms and conditions as stated in the "AMIGOS Interlibrary Loan Code, May 15, 1981 (Revised March 27, 1992)" and "Guidelines for Use With the AMIGOS Interlibrary Loan Code, May 15, 1981 (Revised May 1988)."
