EzProxy Link Generator

Linking to Library Resources

Linking into library subscription databases requires a URL that will take users through our proxy server first to verify that they are authenticated users. This is because we pay for the databases based on current enrollment numbers, thus we can only allow currently enrolled students and current faculty/staff remote access to the databases. Most of our databases provide proxy URLs to link to specific articles or sections (EBSCO, ProQuest, etc) but for those that do not, you can build your own link. The steps are:

  1. Find the permanent URL you would like to use for the article, ebook, etc.
Note: please make sure you are copying a permanent URL, not a session-specific URL.
  2. Add the proxy server URL prefix to the front of the permanent URL. The proxy prefix is: http://swansong.asumh.edu:2048/login?url=
  3. Copy and paste the final link into your address bar to test it.

The regular non-proxy link to go directly into the Writing & Grammar Skills section of LearningExpress Library is: (this link would work for on campus access but not off campus)

Here is the URL code that should be added to the front of any link to direct the students through our proxy server:http://swansong.asumh.edu:2048/login?url=

The final link would be:

This is the method to manually generate proxy URLs or you can use the automatic link generator below!

1. Paste the permanent URL below:

3. Copy and use the generated URL

This linking method should work for any section or subsection within Learning Express or any of the other databases that do not automatically provide proxy URLs. If you have any questions, please just let us know!
