Certificate of Proficiency (CP) in Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
The program provides instruction with an emphasis on technical skills, professional relationships, and workplace ethics. Graduates of the program are eligible to complete the Arkansas skills test to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Graduates of the program are prepared to work in long-term care, acute care, and home-health care settings. It provides the opportunity to earn a certificate while completing steps toward the completion of an Associate of Applied Science in nursing degree (RN).
The CNA course is a required pre-requisite for the AASN program and is strongly encouraged before applying to the LPN program.
