Comprehensive Assessment of Academic Proficiency (CAAP)

Arkansas Assessment of General Education (AAGE)
Arkansas Collegiate Assessment of Academic Proficiency (CAAP)

The AAGE (rising junior examination) is required of each student in a transfer program who has completed 45 - 60 hours. After a transferring student has completed 60 semester hours of credit, the examination must be completed before a student will be allowed to enroll in any public Arkansas college or university. The CAAP examination is used to meet the legislative examination requirement mandated in ACT 874 of 1993 by the Arkansas General Assembly. The examination covers writing skills, mathematics, reading, science reasoning, and essay writing. The CAAP exam will be given once each fall and once each spring. The dates of the examination will be announced by the Office of the Registrar.
