High school students must submit the following:
-
A formal application for admission to ASUMH - note, please apply as a concurrent student when asked 'student type'.
-
Registration form letting us know which classes you're wanting to take.

Act 1097 of the General Assembly provides for students who are enrolled in an accredited high school and meet the admission standards of ASUMH to enroll concurrently for academic courses. The 2010 Arkansas State Regulations require ALL concurrent credit students have a minimum ACT READING score of 19, ACCUPLACER READING score of 78, or a COMPASS score of 83. In addition to required READING score, concurrent credit students must also meet minimum placement scores as shown below.
Qualified high school students may be eligible to enroll in concurrent courses and be covered by the new ACCESS to Acceleration Scholarship Act (Act 341 of 2025). The scholarship is funded by excess Arkansas Lottery proceeds. A2A will award eligible high school students $65 per semester credit hour for up to 15 hours per semester. You can find more information about the A2A scholarship here.
Wondering what classes are eligible for this scholarship? Check out the 2025-2026 Concurrent Course List.
High school students who have successfully completed the ninth grade, may take classes during the summer terms at ASUMH. These courses are not covered by any scholarships or financial aid, so the tuition and fees would be out of pocket. To register for summer courses at ASUMH, please contact our Concurrent Enrollment Coordinator, listed as the contact on this page.
