Schedule of Events

Arkansas State University-Mountain Home & the City of Mountain Home have partnered to create a drive-through holiday lights festival for the entire community to enjoy. The Coulter Celebration of Lights will delight all ages with the magic of the holidays.



November 29, 2024 - December 29, 2024

5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

1600 S College St, Mountain Home, AR 72653

  • Enter from College Street (Thomas/Martin Gates)

  • Exit off Hwy 62 West (Hurd Gates)


To maximize the experience, we ask that you please dim your headlights and roll down your windows. Donations for student scholarships and Coulter Celebration of Lights operations can be made at the exit gate. We hope you enjoy the display!

Opening Night: November 29

5:00  Packet Pickup & Onsite Registration for Candy Cane 5K Walk/Run 

6:00 Lighting Ceremony & Start of Candy Cane 5K Walk/Run

6:45 Drive Through Lanes Open 



Family Festival Nights: December 13-15

Santa and Mrs. Claus, Giant Inflatable Slides, and Heavenly Grounds Food Truck will all be on-site for extra family fun!  Bring your camera and we'll help you get the perfect photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus!  

December 13: 5:30 - 9:00

December 14: 5:30 - 9:00

December 15: 5:30 - 9:00 (no slides, but Santa and the food truck will be on campus)





Candy Cane 5K Holiday Run/Walk Fundraiser

Sponsored by the ASUMH Alumni Association
Immerse yourself in lights as you run or walk through the 5k trail.This holiday fun run/walk will be the only opportunity to experience the entire magical event on foot!  All participants will receive a Candy Cane 5K t-shirt. Virtual runners are welcome (Register for a t-shirt and a high five!)

Range from $20 - $40


  • All participants must arrive before 5:15 p.m. in order to park and be part of the Coulter Celebration of Lights dedication ceremony.

  • Click here to pre-register. Be sure to select your t-shirt size as you place your order. 

  • Proceeds from this holiday run will be used to support an ASUMH Alumni Scholarship.

Admission acceptance status made at application due date is contingent on final grades.
Important Disclosures about the Program and the Funeral Service Industry
I understand the program has a specific course rotation that I am required to follow each semester.
I understand that all Funeral Science Education curriculum course work must be completed with a grade of “C” or better.
I understand that I must maintain a 2.5 GPA and will only be allowed to retake courses from which I withdrew or failed in the first semester upon admission to the program.
I understand that I am responsible for any costs associated with the program, including field trips and any required visits to the Mountain Home campus.
I understand that it is my responsibility to know the licensing requirements for any state in which I intend to practice.
I understand that students who have previously been convicted of a crime may be restricted from certain clinical facilities and may be ineligible for some state licenses.
I understand that students who have a physical disability should contact the state in which he/she plans to seek licensure to determine if the disability will affect licensure.
I understand that a current driver’s license is required prior to enrolling in a clinical or practicum course.
I have read and understand the program dismissal policies contained within the Funeral Science Student Handbook.
