Arkansas State University - Mountain Home seeks applicants for a part-time (up to 29 hours per week) Community and Workforce Education Coordinator. The Community and Workforce Education Coordinator assists the Workforce Development Director with the development of customized training programs for businesses and industries located in the ASUMH service area. Job Description:
The Community and Workforce Education Coordinator assists the Workforce Development Director with the development of customized training programs for businesses and industries located in the ASUMH service area. The Coordinator also promotes lifelong learning by identifying community educational interests, recruiting instructors, scheduling and promoting classes.
- Interacting daily with educational, community, and business leaders to form long-term working relationships. Consistently monitor and respond promptly to the immediate and long-range training needs of businesses.
- Serving as a liaison with area business/industry owners and leaders. Working closely with the various community groups.
- Helping in the recruiting, selecting, supervising, and evaluating instructors and facilitators of workforce development programs and community education programs as needed.
- Maintaining accurate records of workforce and community education training participants, sharing information with the Administrative Assistant.
- Assisting in researching and developing grant activities related to workforce and community education initiatives.
- Developing a community education program that meets the needs of the local community.
- Work cooperatively with other departments on the campus in an effort to meet the needs the local community and businesses.
- Performing other duties and special projects as assigned.
