ASUMH Students Win Big at Skills USA

Arkansas State University-Mountain Home took 15 of our top Technical Education students to Hot Springs to compete at SkillsUSA and every one of them represented us with skill, strength, and professionalism. We’re proud of all their hard work and dedication. We’re especially excited to recognize the students who earned top honors at the state level. 

Elizabeth Watson claimed the Gold Medal in Welding, earning the title of State Champion!! Her skill, precision, and hard work stood out at the highest level of competition — an incredible achievement in one of the most competitive trades.

Lee Lawrence, Justin Lane, and Cameron Bess teamed up to earn the Silver Medal in Welding Fabrication, showing off their teamwork and advanced fabrication skills under pressure.

Elijah Hunter earned the Bronze Medal in Automotive Parts Specialist, proving he knows his parts and systems inside and out.

These students have shown what talent, training, and determination can accomplish. We can’t wait to see where their skills take them next!
