Graduates Earn Industry Certification
The Computer Information Systems department at Arkansas State University-Mountain Home combines education and technology to produce global thinkers that meet the needs and challenges of the new digital economy.
Graduates with an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Technology and Networking degree, Cody Partee, Aiden Tilley, and Coty Cox, earned their industry-recognized certification for CompTIA A+. In addition, Partee attained the CompTIA Security+ and LPI Linux Essentials industry certifications.
ASU-Mountain Home is an authorized CompTIA Academy Partner and offers the A+ Computer Technician program to help individuals prepare for the CompTIA A+ industry-recognized certification and entry-level computer career opportunities. Earning an A+ industry certification confirms a technician's ability to demonstrate various computer hardware and software skills such as installation, configuration, diagnosing, repairing, preventive maintenance, mobility, and security. The CompTIA A+ certification is an international, vendor-neutral certification recognized by major hardware and software vendors, distributors, and resellers. The A+ Computer Technician program is integrated within ASU-Mountain Home’s Computer Technology and Networking degree or can function as a standalone program.
