The Arkansas State University – Mountain Home leadership is committed to the success of our students, including their success regarding instructional materials. We have partnered with our bookstore vendor, Follett, and we will be making changes to bookstore operations; specifically, we will be moving the campus bookstore to a virtual store. An online store allows us to offer a huge selection while reallocating physical space on campus to other needs. Students can shop for the resources they need – gear, course materials, and tech – all in one place, which personalized recommendations, flexible delivery options, intuitive search, and more.

What’s Changing?

The Arkansas State University – Mountain Home leadership is committed to the success of our students, including their success regarding instructional materials. We have partnered with our bookstore vendor, Follett, and we will be making changes to bookstore operations; specifically, we will be moving the campus bookstore to a virtual store starting on July 1st, 2025. An online store allows us to offer a huge selection while reallocating physical space on campus to other needs. Students can shop for the resources they need – gear, course materials, and tech – all in one place, which personalized recommendations, flexible delivery options, intuitive search, and more.

When will the transition to online begin?

The physical bookstore will remain in place through June 25th, 2025 and then the store will move to an online-only model starting July 1st, 2025. The bookstore website will be an option for 24/7 product needs.

Will there be a new bookstore website? 

Students will continue to use the www.ASUMHshop.com website to access the Arkansas State University – Mountain Home Bookstore. Changes will be made behind the scenes, but the student experience will remain the same.

How do I purchase my course materials, supplies, and clothing? 

Students will be able to shop online at www.ASUMHshop.com to purchase any needed course materials. There will be a variety of supplies and clothing items available for purchase.

Purchases over $99 will receive free ground shipping.

Can I purchase technology through Follett?

Yes, we will have an expanded assortment on our website.

Can I rent textbooks online?

Yes. Textbook rentals will be an option for most adopted materials, and you can choose to rent when you are conducting your purchase on the website. A credit or debit card is required for collateral to rent books.

How do I return my rental book?

You will receive rental reminder emails prior to the due date. You may also log into your online bookstore account for rental return information. FREE shipping labels are provided in your rental account. These are accessible up to the rental due date.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept all credits cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, and offer ZIP payment plans. In addition, we accept Financial Aid and other School Credit where applicable.

What do I receive after the checkout process?

Two emails are received after placing an order: Order confirmation and order update. The order confirmation provides a summary of the purchase and a link to track order status. The order update will include instructions for digital books. This can include a passcode and a URL to access the digital content.

How do I find out about textbook availability? 

Sign up for the bookstore email list at www.ASUMHshop.com to find out about textbooks, supplies, and more.

How do I use my student account through the bookstore?

Student accounts authorized for use at the ASUMH Bookstore (e.g. EOPS or VA textbook vouchers) will be set up as a payment type for students to use on the website. Your student ID number will be required to make a student account purchase.

Can I still use my gift cards at the bookstore?

Yes, you’ll be able to use your gift card on the campus store website at checkout.

How do I purchase a gift card/egift card through Follett?

Gift cards are available for purchase online.

What is the shipping method and will tracking information be provided?

All shipments will be made via UPS or USPS and tracking information is provided with the order confirmation email.

How long before I receive my online order?

Most shipments of physical materials will be received within 3-7 business days. Expedited shipping is available for an extra charge.

Where can I sell my books?

Look for the “Sell Your Textbooks” link at the bottom of your store website. Follett has partnered with ValoreBooks to provide the best market-based pricing options for selling books.

How it works:


· Enter the ISBN, select a product, and view prices.

· Ship your items to ValoreBooks for free.

· Get paid by check or PayPal.

Does the virtual bookstore accept returns?

Textbooks in resalable condition may be refunded with receipt 14 calendar days from the start of classes or the date the textbook was received (whichever is later). If you dropped your class, you can return your book until the end of the drop/add period with proof of drop. Unopened computer hardware and software may be refunded or exchanged within 14 days of purchase. Full return policy is available at link on bottom of the bookstore website.


1. Include a copy of your confirmation email or order details with your securely packaged return. If you don’t have this information, include a note with your name, email address, phone number, and order number. Your refund could be delayed if we can’t identify the original purchase details.

2. Return shipping is at your expense. We’re not liable for lost or damaged packages. Please use a traceable, insured method of shipping when returning your item(s).

3. Hold on to your tracking information and shipping receipt until you get your refund.
