Kelly Baker Named ASUMH Academic All-Star

ASU-Mountain Home's Academic All-Star is Kelly Baker. Kelly is working on prerequisites to get a bachelor's degree in nursing and plans to work in clinical education and public health research. She is involved on campus as the leader of the Association of Students with Disabilities and Chronic Conditions (ASDCC) and is also active in the rare disease/disability community in multiple ways including running support groups, public speaking, and serving on medical research review panels. Overall, Kelly wants to use her experiences with chronic illness and rare disease to help educate and empower other patients to advocate for themselves and to improve healthcare one step at a time through patient-focused care and research.
