About This Program
The objective of the Associate of Science in Education degree is to provide the foundation classes required for the first two years of a baccalaureate in education. This degree is for students who want a student-centered program that features small class sizes and increased faculty interaction.
Students in the middle-level track of the ASE degree will choose two subject areas from which to study. The choices are: math, science, social studies, and language arts.
A 2.70 GPA is required for graduation from the ASE program.
Academic Transfer Agreements
Students may choose to pursue the Associate of Science in Education Middle Level Education Degree which offers several paths for transfer to Arkansas State University (ASU) or University of Central Arkansas (UCA) to continue their education. ASUMH students who complete their Associate of Science in Education Middle Level Education Degree and have fulfilled all admission requirements to the transfer school will be admitted with full junior classification.
