About This Program

In just three semesters you can earn an Associate of Applied Science in Automotive Systems Repair. Nationally, an associate degree in auto mechanics can cost up to $25,000. At a total cost of approximately $10,500 (tuition, fees, books, and tools), ASUMH offers affordable training that provides students with entry-level marketable skills in the automotive repair industry. Hands on training is combined with a real-world shop/laboratory experience in this high-demand program. Automotive Service Technician (ASE) curriculum developed by the National Automotive Technical Education Foundation (NATEF) is taught. Many employers will expect automotive technicians to supply their own tools. To prepare and equip graduates for the workforce, ASUMH presents each graduate from its automotive program with a set of starter tools and a tool box.

Not sure you are ready to commit to a degree? ASUMH also offers a technical certificate and a certificate of proficiency in Automotive Systems Repair.  See related degrees below.

Still in high school? Construction Technology is one of the programs offered through the ASUMH Secondary Center. That means you can start taking classes before graduating from high school. Contact your counselor or ASUMH for more information!

Transferable Degrees & Stackable Credentials
Transferrable degrees are programs of study that allow students to complete general education courses. Many students who intend to transfer to another college/university complete these degree programs.
Stackable Credentials are Technical Certificates that might be “stacked” to meet requirements for a higher-level certificate or degree program like an associate's degree.

Faculty will be delivering all of the coursework for the semester online beginning March 17th.  The Tech Center has a new, improved WiFi service in the parking lot, thanks to Yelcot Communications. Students are encouraged to use this lot instead of the main campus parking lots when completing assignments.

ASUMH has closed all offices except emergency operations on the campus.  Emergency operations personnel will perform their necessary functions on-site, but all other personnel will work remotely.

Additionally, public schools will not be in session before April 20th.  We will remain in online-only instruction until that date or until further notification.
