STEP 1: Official Transcript Request
We will need official transcripts from all colleges or universities where you received degrees. Please contact your schools and request the official transcripts be mailed to the attention of ASUMH Human Resources at 1600 South College St., Mountain Home, AR 72653.
STEP 2: New Employee Forms
You will complete most new hire forms online, but some will need to be printed and submitted to Human Resources. Follow this link to the forms that should be completed online:

VSP Authorization Form - Residential for residents of Arkansas
VSP Authorization Form - Non-Residential for out-of-state employees
If you have questions about any of the forms, we will review them during your orientation.
STEP 3: Benefits Overview (Full-Time Only)
This section will guide you on making your benefit elections.
1. You may visit the ASU System Benefits website to acquaint yourself with the benefit options, rates, and new employee enrollment guide in preparation for making your elections online.
2. Before self-enrolling in your benefits you will need the following:
Names, DOBs, SSNs and addresses for all eligible dependents for which you want coverage
Dependent Documentation:
Spouse - Copy of marriage license or a copy of the first page of the most recent tax return (financial information show be redacted).
Biological Child - Government-issued birth certificate
Stepchild - Government-issued birth certificate identifying your spouse as a parent AND a government-issued marriage license showing that you are married to the parent.
Adopted Child - Court document showing adoption placement, petition for adoption, or final adoption certificate. Date of birth must be included.
Names, DOBs, SSNs and addresses for all beneficiaries for your employer-provided life insurance policy and your retirement account.
3. For self-enrollment, go to the online benefits enrollment site, MyBenefits. The default pin is the last 4 digits of your social security number and the last two of your year of birth.
4. After making your elections, please print the Benefits Confirmation Form (see sample form) for your records.
You can begin your benefits enrollment at your convenience, or contact Human Resources for assistance.
STEP 4: Handbooks
Please download and retain the appropriate handbook and make certain you are familiar with it.
STEP 5: New Employee Orientation
We will contact you to schedule your New Employee Orientation (NEO). NEO provides an opportunity for us to learn more about you, and for you to receive important information about your employment at ASUMH.
STEP 6: Other Information
Email and Account Access: Once your background check is complete, Human Resources will initiate a request with Computer Services to create your ASUMH email account and portal account access. Your immediate supervisor will initiate requests for department specific account access and permissions.
Training Courses. You will receive several emails from ASUMH Human Resources with the subject line "Online Training Assignment" These emails will contain instructions and a link to complete the training online. These courses must be completed before adjuncts can be cleared to teach.
ASUMH Alert. ASUMH's emergency notification system, called ASUMH Alert, will enable us to communicate with you quickly in the event of an emergency. The ASUMH Alert system will send messages to email and text message to your cell phone. Standard text messaging rates will apply. The ASUMH Alert System utilizes the portal to maintain contact information. You will be provided instructions on how to log in to the MyCampus portal and sign up for text alerts.
