About This Program

The objective of the Associate of Science in Business degree is to allow students to complete the first two years of a business baccalaureate degree. This degree is designed for students who want to spend their first two college years in a student-centered program that features small class sizes and faculty interaction.

Students searching for a degree that grounds them in both knowledge and theory they need to build on for their baccalaureate degree in business should consider the ASB as it provides a solid foundation through its core business courses. This foundation allows them to pursue many different opportunities in their baccalaureate program, including International Business, Marketing, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain Management, and a myriad of other business degree options. An Associate of Science in Business graduate has the opportunity to obtain either the Bachelor of Science in Accounting or the Bachelor of Science in Management from Arkansas State University—Jonesboro while staying on the ASUMH campus.

Transferrable degrees are programs of study that allow students to complete general education courses. Many students who intend to transfer to another college/university complete these degree programs.
Stackable Credentials are Technical Certificates that might be “stacked” to meet requirements for a higher-level certificate or degree program like an associate's degree.
