About This Program
Enrolling in a 7 credit hour CNA course is a rewarding way to start a career in the medical field. At the completion of this one semester course you will earn a Certificate of Proficiency and will be eligible to complete the Arkansas skills test to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Graduates of the program are prepared to work in long-term care, acute care, and home-health care settings. For students with plans to continue their education in healthcare, practicing as a CNA provides the opportunity to experience working in healthcare environment while completing prerequisite courses toward other healthcare degrees.
