Student Work-Study Toolkit
Federal work study is one way to help you meet your financial obligations while attending college. It also provides solid work experience to help enhance your resume. You must complete the following steps to apply for work study at ASU-Mountain Home.
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Meet the ASU-Mountain Home Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy.
Verify your eligibility for the Federal Work Study Program with the ASUMH Financial Aid Office.
Complete an application on our careers page, and attend an interview with the position supervisor if contacted.
HR will conduct a background check if required.
Human Resources will provide the Work Study documents needed for employment and schedule an orientation.

STEP 1: Work Study Employment Forms
You will complete most new hire forms online, but some will need to be printed and submitted to Human Resources. Follow this link to the forms that should be completed online:

Acceptable forms of identification for your I-9. Be certain to bring these when you come to Human Resources.
If you have questions about any of the forms, we will review them during your orientation.
STEP 2: Work Study Orientation
Please contact Human Resources to schedule your Work Study Orientation (WSO).
STEP 3: Handbooks
Please download and retain the appropriate handbook and make certain you are familiar with it.

STEP 4: Other Information
Training Courses. All ASUMH students are assigned an online Awareness Training Course via email. Work Study Students must complete that course prior to starting work. Work Study Students will also receive information from the Financial Aid regarding FERPA.
ASUMH Alert. ASUMH's emergency notification system, called ASUMH Alert, will enable us to communicate with you quickly in the event of an emergency. The ASUMH Alert system will send messages to email and text message to your cell phone. Standard text messaging rates will apply. The ASUMH Alert System utilizes the portal to maintain contact information. You will be provided instructions on how to log in to the MyCampus portal and sign up for text alerts.
