Academic Resources

Once you have enrolled in your courses with your academic advisor, the next thing you will want to know is what resources we have in place to help you succeed in the classroom. This page and the pages that follow will tell you about the numerous free resources that we offer students at ASUMH!

Schliemann Tutoring Center

Located inside the Norma Wood Library on the first floor of Roller Hall, the ASUMH Schliemann Tutoring Center offers in-person as well as virtual tutoring free of charge to students enrolled at ASUMH. Walk-ins are welcome during normal operating hours. We can also use the Zoom video-conferencing platform for one-on-one virtual tutoring, which allows you to easily work with your tutor and share relevant documents and websites. It is simple to set up, and we've found it works quite well. Scheduling is flexible. Please contact us at 870-508-6112, tutoring@asumh.edu, or stop in to make an appointment.

The primary goals of the Tutoring Center at Arkansas State University-Mountain Home are:
  • To provide overall academic support for students needing assistance.
  • To create a comfortable environment in which learning can take place.
  • To encourage students’ self-confidence.
  • To provide successful learning experiences.
  • To help students familiarize themselves with ASUMH Portal, Blackboard, MyMathLab and other computer programs that are used in their course studies.
