Student Engagement

Your life as a student here is at the heart of what we do! As students realize their academic goals, it's our mission to support and foster academic achievement as well as overall student wellness and growth. We want all students to be comfortable and uninhibited if they have questions. It is our goal to engage each student in academic, social, and service opportunities through student involvement and diverse experiences. With over 20 student organizations and a myriad of student activities, ASUMH encourages all students to become involved in the campus community. If there is ever anything we can do to help, please reach out to us in the Office of Student Support Services!

Student Organizations

We have numerous student organizations designed to connect students to others who share a common interest! Check out the full list of student clubs and organizations and find a way to get involved.

Fran Coulter Honors Program

The Fran Coulter Honors Program was created to recognize academic excellence to provide courses to challenge highly-motivated, intellectually-talented, academically well-prepared, and/or creative students. An additional purpose is to enhance the image of the community college as a place associated with quality scholarly pursuits and activities.
Through participation in the program, students are encouraged to develop their full potential in leadership and scholarship through a variety of educational activities by working with a select group of dedicated faculty, both within and outside of the classroom setting, and through interaction with other honors program students.
To be eligible for the honors program, incoming freshmen must have a GPA (grade point average) of 3.5 in high school and enroll in 12 credit hours at ASUMH (college preparatory courses excluded).  Current full-time students as ASUMH will be considered for the program if they have attained a 3.5 GPA, completed at least 12 credit hours, and/or have faculty recommendations from ASUMH faculty who are familiar with the students’ academic work.  Eligibility to the program does not guarantee acceptance.  Applications will be given careful consideration, and all applicants will be notified in a timely manner.  For additional information regarding the Fran Coulter Honors Program, contact Dr. Rebecca Baird, Honors Program Sponsor, 870-508-6139, rbaird@asumh.edu, Dryer Hall - D201

Intramural Sports

Intramural Sports is one of the most popular student activities at ASU-Mountain Home, allowing many of our students each year to play a variety of sports on campus and compete with neighboring schools.
The program is designed to provide students, faculty and staff an opportunity to participate in athletic and non-athletic recreational activities in a fun and safe environment. Intramural sports promote physical fitness, social interaction, and campus involvement.
We offer many sports throughout the year, organized into team sports, dual sports, and individual sports. The various sports include: flag football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, disc golf, and much more.
