About This Program
The construction technology program at ASU Mountain Home is a direct result of requests from the construction industry and Mountain Home Public Schools. Local employers documented more than 40 job openings ranging from general labor to skilled carpenter, superintendent, and project manager in a 2019 survey. Pay rates range from $11 per hour to $34 hour, a high demand for dependable, skilled workers combined with limited availability has risen demand for professionals in this field.
The Certificate of Proficiency and the Technical Certificate in construction technology encourage students to develop a variety of complementary skills related to the construction industry, such as project management, construction planning, materials and methods, finishing, and estimating construction costs. The programs offer internships in the construction industry to allow students to gain on-site experience. Continuing education in the Associate of General Studies program is among the options available to graduates.
Still in high school? Construction Technology is one of the programs offered through the ASUMH Secondary Center. That means you can start taking classes before graduating from high school. Contact your counselor or ASUMH for more information!

Transferrable degrees are programs of study that allow students to complete general education courses. Many students who intend to transfer to another college/university complete these degree programs.
Stackable Credentials are Technical Certificates that might be “stacked” to meet requirements for a higher-level certificate or degree program like an associate's degree.
