Job Description
Arkansas State University – Mountain Home seeks applicants for a Coordinator of Human Resources. This position is responsible for the overall direction of the Human Resources program, including planning, organizing, and directing all activities of the institution's personnel program and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The Coordinator oversees Recruiting & Staffing, Training & Development, Performance Management, Compensation and Benefits, and Employee Relations. The Coordinator has continual contact with the Chief Financial Officer, department supervisors and other employees in clarifying or interpreting matters of personnel policies and program operations. Work is performed with considerable independence, and judgment is exercised within the policies and regulations established.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate’s Degree
• Three years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Development, Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, or other related graduate-level degree from an accredited institution.
• Five years of human resource management work experience or related work experience.
• Three to five years of supervisory experience within a Human Resources Department.
• Human Resources certification (HRCI or SHRM).
