Arkansas State University – Mountain Home seeks applicants for a grant-funded College and Career Coach position to serve the Cotter and Flippin
School Districts. This is a twelve month, full-time position with benefits and reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Marketing and Community Relations. The focus of the College and Career Coach is to support and motivate students in their educational goals through college and career planning and other support services.  The College and Career Coach will have office locations at Cotter and Flippin Schools and will assist students daily on career identification, provide general information on the college admission process, conduct academic enrichment workshops, facilitate study groups, provide information about online resources, develop career inventory options, assist with ACCUPLACER testing, financial aid workshops, and scholarship applications.


The required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university, excellent computer skills, and strong oral and written communication skills. Preferred qualifications include experience in student support and familiarity with local school programs. The Career Development Facilitator (CDF) credential is also a plus. 


Compensation includes an annual salary commensurate with background and experience, and a comprehensive benefits and leave package
Please note, position continuation will be contingent upon renewed grant funding each fiscal year.

Important Disclosures about the Program and the Funeral Service Industry
I understand the program has a specific course rotation that I am required to follow each semester.
I understand that all Funeral Science Education curriculum course work must be completed with a grade of “C” or better.
I understand that I must maintain a 2.5 GPA and will only be allowed to retake courses from which I withdrew or failed in the first semester upon admission to the program.
I understand that I am responsible for any costs associated with the program including field trips and Training Camp.
I understand that it is my responsibility to know the licensing requirements for any state in which I intend to practice.
I understand that students who have previously been convicted of a crime may be restricted from certain clinical facilities and may be ineligible for some state licenses.
