Associate of Applied Science (AAS)

Technical Certificate (TC)
The Technical Certificate provides focused training in automotive repair for students seeking to quickly develop workforce-ready skills. Coursework emphasizes hands-on instruction in major vehicle systems and can be completed as a standalone credential or applied toward the Associate of Applied Science degree, allowing students to continue their education at their own pace.
Certificate of Proficiency (CP)
The Certificate of Proficiency is designed for students who want to explore the automotive field before committing to a longer program. Completed in just one semester, it introduces fundamental automotive repair concepts while providing a seamless pathway into the Technical Certificate or Associate of Applied Science program.

Transfer Options
The Automotive Systems Repair program is designed with stackable credentials, allowing students to progress from the Certificate of Proficiency to the Technical Certificate and ultimately to the Associate of Applied Science.
Students who complete the Associate of Applied Science may also continue their education by transferring into the Bachelor of Applied Science in Organizational Supervision at Arkansas State University–Jonesboro, entering with junior standing upon meeting admission requirements.
