Connect With Student Leaders Across the ASU System
The ASU System Leadership Summit brings together student leaders from the two-year institutions within the Arkansas State University System to learn from one another and from experienced leaders across Arkansas. Through interactive sessions, leadership development activities, and networking opportunities, students explore topics such as:
- Leadership styles
- Communication and teamwork
- Community engagement
- Professional development
- Servant leadership
- Building meaningful campus experiences
Students leave inspired, motivated, and equipped with practical skills they can immediately bring back to ASUMH.
Leadership Beyond Campus
Each year, up to five ASUMH students have the opportunity to participate in the Arkansas Community Colleges Leadership Institute, a statewide leadership experience that brings together students from community colleges across Arkansas.
This two-day experience allows participants to engage with students from across the state, strengthen communication skills, understand the Arkansas political system, and explore what it means to lead with integrity and purpose.
Students return with new ideas, new friendships, and greater confidence to serve both ASUMH and their communities.
STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION
Be the Voice of Your Fellow Students
The Student Government Association (SGA) gives students the opportunity to shape campus life while developing leadership, communication, and professional skills.
SGA members serve as the voice of the student body by sharing ideas, planning campus events, supporting student organizations, and working alongside college leadership to make ASUMH an even better place for students.
Whether you're interested in serving as an elected officer or simply attending meetings to share your ideas, every student is welcome. Through SGA you'll have opportunities to:
- Represent the student body
- Plan campus events and activities
- Build leadership and teamwork skills
- Work directly with campus administrators
- Meet students from across campus
- Develop experience that stands out on resumes and scholarship applications
