LIFELONG LEARNING
The ASU-Mountain Home mission includes a commitment to lifelong learning. Our Community Education program provides opportunities for everyone in our community to learn new things. Community Education serves all ages by offering a wide variety of courses throughout the year. If you are looking to learn a new skill, explore a new interest or hobby, improve your health, or just gain knowledge, community education will offer something for you. All ages, education levels, professions, backgrounds, and interests are invited to participate in any of the courses offered.
All Community Education courses are non-credit. This makes the courses affordable, the registration process simple, and best of all – no exams!
Some instructors come to us with a complete class ready for print. But many other people come to us with a hobby, an avocation, or just a rough idea about a possible class. We do not require community education instructors to have teaching degrees or certification. We are looking for people who have a skill, talent, or expertise they would like to share with others. We seek instructors who are passionate about their field and who have the ability to communicate clearly to community members of all ages. We'd love to talk with you about your ideas. Give us a call at 870-508-6133 with any questions or submit your idea below.
To help you get started, we have provided you with this Toolkit for Workforce and Community Education Instructors. Please review this information carefully.
