Career Pathways Grant Program

SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE PARENTS

Arkansas Career Pathways Initiative is a grant program that enables your local two-year college to offer those who qualify assistance in removing the barriers that student parents face while in school. Career Pathways empowers student parents to achieve their educational goals by providing personalized support, financial assistance, and resources that remove barriers to success. From childcare and transportation to mentoring and career readiness, we're here to help students thrive in college and beyond.

STUDENT BENEFITS:

  • Childcare cost assistance, gas reimbursements, tuition & fees, program supplies, laptop loans and other direct educational expenses
  • Advising to assist with career and educational decisions
  • Assistance in finding jobs while in school and careers upon graduation

ELIGIBILITY:

  • You must be a parent, with children under age 21 living in your home, AND
  • Income eligible adult with a dependent child(ren) earning less than or equal to the 250% of the federal poverty limit, OR
  • Families with adults and dependent children who receive TEA (former and current), SNAP, Medicaid, ARKids, HUD, SSI, SSD or WIC

*Please note that there may be other eligibility requirements for enrollment in the Career Pathways program.
