THINGS TO DO ON CAMPUS
Stay Active...Get Involved
Life at ASUMH goes well beyond the classroom — there so many THINGS TO DO! Grab a bite at OwlCove Eatery, challenge friends to a round at Disc Cove, get involved through Student Activities, or stop by the Student Success Center, where our Student Success Coaches offer personalized advising and help you explore your options. At ASUMH, there's always something happening on the trail, on the course, and everywhere in between.
Tucked into ASUMH's scenic 140-acre campus, our disc golf course offers a fun, laid-back way to get outside between classes. It's a 2.1 mile beginner-friendly course, so whether you're a seasoned player or picking up a disc for the first time, there's a low-pressure way to enjoy a round. No equipment? No problem — students can check out disc golf gear for free through Student Services on the third floor of Roller Hall. The course is also part of ASUMH's intramural sports program, giving students, faculty, and staff a chance to compete and connect throughout the year.
Wind through the ASUMH campus and beyond on the James and Sally Moore Recreational Trail, a 3.3-mile paved loop that has become a favorite gathering place for walkers, runners, and cyclists throughout the Twin Lakes Area. Starting from the eastern lot of ASU-Mountain Home, the accessible, flat pathway winds past public sculptures featured in the Mountain Home Art Walk, ducks beneath the Highway 62/412 bypass, and connects to McCabe Park's fishing ponds, ball fields, and the Shirley Baker Nature Trail.
Solar lighting keeps the route safe and welcoming for early morning or evening use, while ongoing ADA-compliant improvements continue to link the trail to community spaces like the Baxter County Library and the Mountain Home Community Center. Leashed dogs are welcome, making it a favorite spot for neighbors of all kinds to get outside, get moving, and enjoy everything ASUMH and Mountain Home have to offer.
Tucked into the second floor of Roller Hall, inside the Hurd Student Center, OwlCove is where Trailblazers refuel between classes. Grab a bite, catch up with friends, or find a quiet corner to study — it's the heart of campus dining at ASU Mountain Home.
