Program Overview
Associate of Science (AS)
The Associate of Science in Business is designed for students planning to transfer to a four-year university to earn a bachelor's degree. Students complete the foundational business and general education courses commonly required during the first two years of a bachelor's program. The degree prepares students for a variety of business disciplines, including accounting, finance, marketing, management, economics, supply chain management, and more. Graduates may transfer to partner universities with junior standing upon meeting admission requirements.
Associate of Applied Science (AAS)
The Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration prepares students to enter the workforce immediately after graduation. The program emphasizes practical business knowledge and management skills through hands-on coursework in accounting, marketing, management, finance, business law, and communication. Students develop the skills needed to solve problems, organize operations, and lead within today's business environment.
Technical Certificate (TC)
The Technical Certificate in Business Administration – General Business provides students with a fast, one-year pathway to develop essential business skills. The program introduces core business principles that are valuable in nearly every industry and serves as an excellent starting point for students who may later continue into the Associate of Applied Science program.

Transfer Options
Students may choose to pursue the Associate of Science Degree in Business which offers several paths for transfer to Arkansas State University (ASU) or University of Central Arkansas (UCA) to continue their education. ASUMH students who complete their Associate of Science in Business and have fulfilled all admission requirements of the transfer school will be admitted with full junior classification.
The Technical Certificate is also stackable into the Associate of Applied Science, allowing students to continue building their education while advancing their careers.
