Program Overview
The phlebotomy program prepares you to collect, transport, handle, and process blood and other specimens for medical laboratory analysis. This one semester, 7 credit hour course includes classroom instruction and clinical learning experiences. A medical terminology course is recommended, but not required as a prerequisite. Students who are waiting to enter a health sciences program may want to consider enrollment in this program, which is offered each spring and currently fall semester.
