MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. — Five Arkansas State University-Mountain Home (ASUMH) students recently participated in the Arkansas State University System Student Leadership Institute, a leadership development program that brings together students from across the university system’s two-year campuses.
ASUMH students Charis Green, Dustin Sanders, Kendra Wisham, Joshua Smith and Joseph Vrechek participated in the institute, which provided opportunities for students to develop leadership skills through workshops, networking and discussions with university and community leaders.
The institute focuses on preparing students to take on leadership roles within their campuses and communities while developing skills in communication, decision-making and collaboration. Participants also gained a broader understanding of higher education and the role students can play in contributing to the communities they serve.
ASUMH is proud to have these five students represent the college through their participation in the system-wide leadership program and their commitment to continued personal and professional growth.
