In a poll released today, ASUMH’s TrailBlazers baseball team is ranked 20th in the nation in Division II of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). With a record of 18 wins and 5 losses, the TrailBlazers received 12 points in the poll to reach the top 20. Spencer Adcock, athletic director and head baseball coach at ASUMH, said this is a milestone he is proud of. “For this to be our first season to compete for post-season championships,” said Adcock, “I’m proud of this team. We have a great group of guys that have the expectation of competing on the national level. As far as this season goes, we won’t be satisfied until we win our last game this year.”
ASUMH Chancellor Dr. Bentley Wallace added, “We are so proud to see ASUMH’s baseball team recognized among the best in the nation. Despite being a new team, these student athletes are performing as a fully developed group of high achievers.”
