In addition to traditional academic programs, ASUMH offers a variety of services to serve the community. Secondary Center classes are offered for students in K-12 schools in the area. Community Education classes are offered for life-long learning and are just for fun. There are no tests or grades and these short-term courses are not for credit. Workforce Training programs are often customized for business and industry and both for-credit and not-for-credit classes.

ASUMH Mr. & Miss Mountain Home Beauty Pageant to be held April 1

Arkansas State University-Mountain Home’s (ASUMH) Student Ambassadors are hosting a first-ever Mr. & Miss Mountain Home Pageant to be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017. The role of the student ambassadors at ASUMH is to assist the administration with promotion of the university, represent the student body at special events, and assist with recruiting of students. This event benefits the ASUMH Student Ambassadors program.

The event will begin at 3 p.m. in the Vada Sheid Community Development Center. Admission to the event will cost $5 for adults and $3 for students.

Participates may enter in one of the following Beauty Pageant Divisions for an entry fee of $35:

Baby Miss (0-15 months)

Wee Miss (16-35 months)

Tiny Mr. (0-35 months)

Toddler Miss (3-4 years)

Mr. (3-7 years)

Tiny Miss (5-6 years)

Petite Miss (7-9 years)

Princess Miss (10-12 years)

Teen Miss (13-16 years)

Miss (17-23 years)

Ms. (24 years & up)

ASUMH Scholarships will be awarded to the Miss and Ms. Division winners.

For an entry fee of $15, participants may also enter:

Outfit of Choice (0-4 years), (5-12 years), or (13 & up)

Participants may also enter into the following categories:

Most Photogenic: Submit photo(s), black & white or color, any size, with the entry form. Please include $10 for one photo and $5 per additional photo with the entry form (photos can also be texted to 870.706.0803). The deadline for photo submission is March 25th.

Optional Categories (girls only): Please submit fees with the entry form.

Best Dressed: Add $10 fee*

Prettiest Smile: Add $10 fee*

Prettiest Hair: Add $10 fee*

Best Personality: Add $10 fee*

*Discounted Price for entering all Optional Categories is $25.

Whole Pageant Discount: Enter Beauty, Outfit of Choice, Photogenic, and all Optional Categories for $55.

Application forms can be picked up on campus in the Admissions Office, the office in The Sheid, any front office in the Mountain Home Public School District, and Kicks-n-Flips dance studio.
